Calibre library backup

Your personal Ebook library, you can save in Calibre very easily. In this practical tip we will show you how to do this.

Step 1: Calibre-library of Ebooks secure

Start the program Calibre on your computer.
Click in the menu bar, click the name of your library. In most cases, the "Calibre Library".
Select the item "Bibliiothek change/create new".
In the next dialog window, you will see the path where your library is located.
You can open an Explorer window and navigate to the above folder.
You can now copy the entire folder "Calibre Library" and at a different location. Best to move the data to a Backup hard drive or a USB Stick.

Now you can use the backed up library to another PC or restore them:

You can move the previously saved folder to one on your Computer. Best select the Desktop or the documents folder.
Now open Calibre and click again in the menu bar, click the name of your library.
Select "switch/create library".
You put the Hack in "to switch To another, already existing library to a different location".
Select the item "New place" the previously backed up folder.
With a click on "OK" loads the Calibre library from the new folder and you have restored the backup successfully again.
