BluRays out - when is it possible?
- You have burned a BluRay disc itself, you can get the Film via the Software on the Computer and at the same time reduce the size. You will find a tutorial in the next paragraph.
- You bought a BluRay, the movie with copy protection. This allows you to bypass that legally this is not allowed, however. With the Software MakeMKV you can use the BluRay to your Computer and then also the instructions in the next paragraph to follow.
- Note: After the entry into force of the new copyright law, the use of this tool is illegal when a copy protection is bypassed. Please understand that we do not offer this Tool, therefore, for Download.

BluRays out - so it goes
- Download the free Tool Handbrake to download and install the Software.
- Top left, click on the Button "Source" to the BluRay in the drive or the path to the file from the PC to select.
- Under the category of "Destination" you need to specify the destination path of the scaled-down BluRay. You just have to select the Desktop using the Button "Browse".
- In the "Output Settings", you have the choice between the Format of MKV and MP4. The MP4 Format is more space-saving.
- Go down to the Video tab, you can change the "Video Codec". Here you can select a desired Codec that reduces the size of the Video, but the image according to your requirements and not too much worse.
- Top right, click on the Button "Preview" to watch a short preview Clip as a Test. Then, check out the file size and Video quality. You are still not satisfied, change the settings, and re-create a preview.
- You have found the correct settings, click the top left Button "Start". Depending on the size of the BluRay and the performance of your computer, the operation may take some time.
