Avira Update is not possible - this helps
An Update is installed that requires a reboot, does not remove a certain file after the reboot. Blocking further Updates. So you fix the error:
- You open Avira and select the top under the "tools" and "configuration".
- On the left, click the "General" category and select the "security".
- Disable the Option "files and registry entries from Manipulation" to protect and confirm the operation with the Button"".
- Now press simultaneously the keys [Windows] and [E], so that the Explorer opens.
- You can navigate here to the path "C:\ProgramData\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\CONFIG\".
- Delete the file "RebootPending.txt", enable the Option in Avira and perform the Update again.
