The background Service is not running in Avast – what to do?
The easiest and most effective you can fix the Problem by uninstalling Avast clean it and reinstall it:
- First download the free Tool Revo Uninstaller and install it.
- Launch the Tool and wait until the list of installed programs is loaded. You then double-click "Avast Antivirus".
- Select the Option to "moderate" as the uninstall method and follow the instructions to uninstall Avast from your PC.
- After successful Uninstallation, the Tool searches for leftover files, folders, and Registry entries. This you need to remove with the "Highlight all" and "Delete" also from the PC.
- After that, you can get the latest Version of Avast download and, as usual, to install.
- The error should now be fixed and the process of Avast to work as usual.
