Premiere open, creating a project and first steps
Adobe Premiere is a paid program. In our Download area you can download a 30-day trial download.
- Open Premiere and create a new project.
- If a window "create New sequence" opens, select HDV and HDV1080p25, so your Intro is at the end in Full HD quality at 25 Frames per second is created.
- Premiere now displays its main window. On "file" and "Import" allows you to show in sequence all the images and Videos you need.

The Timeline of Premiere - Here you assign your Intro
The imported pictures and Videos you can order now, in the so-called Timeline (s, image). Do this for each image or each Video is equal to:
- Drag the file to the desired location in the Timeline.
- By Pulling the Ends you can shorten the Clip.
- If multiple Clips are to be played simultaneously, place them in the stacked traces. The overhead Clip, then covered the bottom.
- By clicking with the right mouse button on the Transition between two Clips, you can add a Transition.

The title, lyrics or other writings you can also add in the Timeline. These are displayed as separate Clips. In the Places where no writing is, your Clip will become transparent and you can see the track below.
- Click with the right mouse button on the project Explorer on the left side. Here, select "New object" and "title"
- The created a title, drag into your Timeline to the desired location.
- Then, perform a double-click on the title. Now a window in which this can be edited will open. You can change the Font and size, as well as the Position and many other things.

Premiere also allows you to animate your Clips or the title. To do this, you need to use so-called Keyframes. These are like markers that indicate at which time your Clip at which point.
- You go to the beginning of your clip you want to edit, and double-click on it in your Timeline. These open in the left preview window.
- This window has up to a tab "effect settings" in the switch.
- Here you can select the movement and click on the little stopwatch. This allows you to add your first Keyframe.
- You go to the body of the clip, where the movement is supposed to be the end. This is usually at the end of the clip.
- Click on the small diamond to create a second Keyframe add.
- You can now modify this Keyframe the Position of the Clips. To do this, you can either enter different values for the Position, or Click and Drag to change the value of this directly.
- You can proceed to a scaling of the Clips in the same way. Here you also need to add a Keyframe at the beginning and another at the end of the clip, and the values to change.
For complex animations, movements or even explosions, you need to Adobe Premiere Pro belonging to the program After Effects. Premiere itself is actually only meant for cutting and not for animations and compositions.
