Aax Format to MP3 and convert - here's how

The Audible File Format (.aax) is usually found at audiobook downloads. To use this Format to convert to MP3, you need to go but a little detour. We provide you with two options.

  1. Download first the free Audible Manager to download and install it.
  2. On the website choose the Option "Computer or Laptop" and you will reach the Download.
  3. Start the program and log in with your Audible Account.
  4. Download now the Tool AAX to MP3 , download and open the ZIP file.
  5. In the ZIP file you will find additional files. Open the "AaxToMp3GUI.exe".

AAX to MP3 with a Virtual CD drive

First of all, you need two programs: Virtual CD and iTunes. If you have downloaded and installed, proceed as follows:

  7. After the burning process, you can find the finished MP3 file in the folder of the Virtual Burn. In the default settings, the file is found at C>CDsVCD.
The correct settings
If iTunes prompts you for a blank disc, then go back to the settings of the "Virtual CD" and make sure that the virtual drives, the burner is selected. Of course, you can also use real CDs with iTunes burning and MP3 ripping.
