The same applies to hair in Photoshop
The hair of individual people can use the channels freely. These instructions are based on Adobe Photoshop CS6:
- You can open the desired image in Photoshop in which you want to the hair, and place a copy of the image layer.
- Select the copy of the layer and click on the right edge in the overview on "channels".
- Hide all channels except the "Blue" channel and create a copy of this.
- Select "image" the Option "corrections" and click on the curves to "Graduation". Move the Slider on the "input" to the right, so that it is approximately in the center of the beam.
- Even parts of the face should be visible, paint over them using the brush tool with black color.
- Click "image" and "corrections" to "Reverse". Alternatively, you can also use the key combination [CTRL] + [I].
- Press and hold the [CTRL] key and click with the left mouse button on the blue channel.
- You switch back to the overview and click on the layer with the original image. The selection of the hair is preserved, so you will have to copy this now with the key combination [CTRL] + [C] and [CTRL] + [V] as a new level can add.
