Fill flash against the sun
Especially if you are photographing against the sun, you need a flash that brightens the subject from the front enough. That's the whole Trick, and the so-called "fill flash".
- You can enable the built-in flash of your camera either via the settings menu or via a small button on the camera.
- An external flash you mount on top of your camera. Align these to the motif and turn it on.
- You should make sure the flash is not too strong or too weak. Many flashes have an automatic mode (eTTL).
- The stronger the flash, the farther you can remove yourself from your subject.

The background outshines the picture
