Color casts to avoid: Correct white balance
Digital cameras have a setting that the so-called "white balance" the camera can set. This setting requires the camera to be White in the finished photo as a real White display.
- The value of the white balance is given in Kelvin, as measured by number. Indoors and in artificial light, you need a value from about 3000K, on a Sunny day in the open air, however, higher values starting at about 6000K.
- Is the current Kelvin value on your camera to white space in a blue color cast. He is too high, however, this reddish.
- Many cameras have a "Auto white balance" or presets for different environments. The former works with all of the newer cameras are quite good, the presets are mostly too specific and fit only in a few cases, perfectly suited to the current lighting conditions.
