How you can hide your document history in MS Word, we will show you in this practical tip.

Document history hide in MS Word

Microsoft Word automatically shows your most recently used documents. Proceed as follows if you want to turn off this display:
  • Word 2003: Open "Word 2003". You go in the menu bar, click "tools" - "options" and select "General". Enter a "0" in the list with the recently viewed files so that the display is disabled.
  • Word 2007: Open the Office Button and click "options" to "Advanced". You can now set the number of recently used documents to "0". It no files are displayed.
  • Word 2010 and Word 2013: Click on "file" - "options". You go to the function "Advanced" and select the number of recently used documents. Record a "0" to turn off the display.
