Word: file path to insert
You can insert the file path in Word only automatically in the header or footer. The command is { FILENAME \p \* MERGEFORMAT }. Alternatively, the instructions below can follow. You want to insert the file path in the header or footer, copy the command to the desired location.
- Save the file, and switch up to the "Insert"tab.
- Click under the category "header and footer" on the "header" or "footer".
- Here, select the Option "header edit" or "footer". Subsequently, the selection options change at the top of the menu.
- Under the category of "Insert", click on the Button "document info".
- Here you select the Option "file path", is added to the command.
