In Excel, define name and use – so it works
- Click on the cell whose name you want to define.
- The top left of the program you will see the current name of the cell, for example A1.
- Click in the field and enter the desired name. Save with [Enter].
- Alternatively, you can also "formulas" > "define name" to use.
- You have called a cell, for example, "VAT", and another "value" you can use the formula "=SUM(value, VAT)".
- A Name can be up to 255 characters long, letters, Numbers, underscore and dot included, as well as with a letter or an underscore .
- Not possible, hyphens, and spaces. In addition, the name cannot look like cell references (e.g. A5, C23).
