Access: AutoNumber field reset - how to

Thanks to the AutoNumber in Access, all the fields will be numbered automatically. To be able to reset the field, you need to make only few clicks. In this practical tip we show you how to exactly proceed.

Auto reset the value of field in database in Access

  1. You start the program as usual and open them via "file" > "Open" the database.
  2. Press [Ctrl] + [A] press to select the entire database. Alternatively, you can also click mark to Mark > "Everything".
  3. Then go to "records" and select "Delete". You to confirm the operation.
  4. After the records have been successfully deleted, click on the Tab "database tools".
  5. To be able to set the auto-reset value, select "database compress and repair".
