Dashboard Widgets: clock, Translator and weather
On your Dashboard, you use various items that you can add to at any time and remove it again. Many of these so-called Widgets are already pre-installed. The Dashboard can be accessed by various methods: Swipe with two fingers across your Trackpad or your Magic Mouse from right to left. Otherwise, just open Mission Control (F4 key) and click on "Dashboard".
- A useful Tool is the Translator: Here, you simply enter the translated Phrase and then select the desired language. Very many of you have language packs available.
- Very popular, the calculator is. Spontaneous calculations you perform fix on your Mac.
- The weather Widget provides you with the adversities in your location. By clicking on the "i"icon, you can manually enter your location.
- If you want to remove a Widget, click the Minus icon at the bottom left and then press on the X icon next to the Widget.

Mac OS X Mavericks - new Widgets to add
By clicking on the Plus icon in the lower-left download more Dashboard Widgets download. You see here all your installed Widgets. On the other hand, you are on Apple's Widget download area and it is linked to.
- Open your Dashboard and then click on the Plus icon at the bottom left.
- Then you need to select the Option "More Widgets ...".
- Now you will be directed to the Apple Website with other Widgets. Here you will find numerous categories to find the perfect match for your taste.
- After the Download of a Widget, you only need to get the zip.-Unzip the archive and the unzipped file via double-click install.
