To lock the screen in Mac OS X
You want to avoid external programs, you can lock the preinstalled Tool "keychain access" on the screen.
- You click in your menu bar, click the magnifying glass to the right of the time of day and type "keychain access".
- Tap next to "programs" or "Top hit" to the aforementioned term.
- In the top bar on the "keychain access" > "settings...".
- Put a check in "keychain status in menu bar".
- You close the administration tool. Now you can see that in your menu, a new Icon showed up.
- Now you can lock your screen by clicking on the lock and "protect screen" to search out.
- You want to work with again on your Mac, you must first enter your password.
