Mac: Admin forgot password - What now?

You are using a Mac or a MacBook and have forgotten the password for the Administrator? This is annoying, but usually not a reason to panic. You can help yourself with a little effort by yourself. How to do that, you can find here.

Administrator password on the Apple ID reset

You have forgotten your password, you can reset it via your Apple ID.
