Mac OS X: images in JPG Format to reduce the size of
Note: The following instructions also works with images in other formats that you can open on the Mac.
- Click with the right mouse button or with two fingers on the image you want and select "Open with", the "preview".
- Click above in the menu bar on the category "tools" and select the "size correction".
- Enable you to customize (if necessary) the Option for "size proportional" and select instead of "pixels" to display in "percent".
- You can now change the values of height and width. The current value is 100. With a value of 50, the width or height decreases to the half.
- At the bottom of the window you will see the new size of the file. Via the Button "OK" the Change is saved.
- The result, like you press simultaneously on the keys "cmd" + "Z" and try again.
