Please note that iTunes always has access to the library and there is enough free memory space is available. You don't move the library, for example, on external storage media such as USB Sticks or hard drives.

  1. Make sure that iTunes is closed and not running.
  2. You will have to copy the library, i.e. iTunes folder to your new desired location.
  3. Now, start iTunes.
  4. You go into the settings of iTunes (see image).
  5. Under the "Advanced" Tab, click to the right of the menu item "iTunes Media folder location" of "Change".
  6. Now select your new location. To do so, enter the sub-folder "iTunes Media" and not the main folder "iTunes".
