iPhoto-display images: So you can find the folder

About iPhoto images organized, you can also view in the Finder. We will tell you where you can find the photo folder to the desired JPEG files open.

iPhoto library: package contents open to view photos in the folder

  1. Open the folder "images".
  2. Right click on "iPhoto library" (CTRL + click)
  3. Click on "show package contents".
  4. Open the folder "Masters" and click then the displayed folder. iPhoto creates for each photo-Import a series of folders, named after the import date:
In the first folder, named after the year of import, the second folder, named after the month. Then open the third folder (day of import), you can find the actual photo folder. This is named in the first sequence of digits after the complete date (year, month, day), e.g. 20131101 for all the images on 1. November 2013 imported.
This practice tip refers to the procedure under Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). In older versions of iPhoto will be referred to the library as "iPhoto Library". In a further practical tip read how to use the iPhoto database on an external hard drive copy.
