Sound for incoming E-Mails on the Mac
- You Can Open Apple Mail.
- Click above in the menu to the left of "Mail" > "preferences bar".
- Switch to the tab "General".
- From the drop-down menu next to "sound for new E-Mails:" you can change the sound of the alert (see Screenshot).
- Tip: Directly under this setting, the Option "other actions play a sound is". You remove the hook in front of it, your Mac is only a sound when new mail arrives. In the case of mail sent, or an error in the call, he remains silent.
