OpenVPN with iOS setting up – you need to do
- First download the OpenVPNApp on your iOS.
- Now you need the files "CA. crt", "user1.crt", "user1.key" and "ta.key", which you can see from the Server directory of OpenVPN.
- Copy then from this page the "client.conf".
- Copy this into Notepad and save the file as "client.conf" starting. Select under "file type" the Option "All files".
- Change in the document, the subsequent lines as follows: "bash # The hostname/IP and port of the server. # You can have multiple remote entries # to load balance between the servers. remote myserver.de 1194", "bash # SSL/TLS parms. # See the server config file for more # description. It's best to use # a separate .crt/.key file pair # for each client. A single ca # file can be used for all clients. ca CA. cert crt client.crt key client.key" and "auth key is used on the server # then every client must also have the key. tls-auth ta.key 1". You save the Changes.
- Then right-click on the file and change the extension "conf" to "ovpn". The file should now client".ovpn" hot.
- Now connect your Smartphone to the PC and open iTunes. Click on "Apps", as soon as the phone was detected.
- Scroll down a bit, to discover "OpenVPN".
- Drag the above files via Drag&Drop in the entry to the OpenVPN, the files are transferred.
- Afterwards, you can start an OpenVPN-connection via the App.
