Newspaper stand, move to the iPhone in a folder
A small program on your Computer, you can move the Newsstand App into a folder. This needs no Installation and is completely safe for your Apple device.
- Download the free Tool StifleStand from the developer's Website down. Here you will find the program both for Windows and for Mac OS.
- Then start the EXE file and connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch via USB cable to your PC.
- Now click on the Button "Hide Newsstand", wait three seconds, and then disconnect your device from the Computer.
- On your iPhone, the newspaper stand is now in the folder "Magic" (see picture). These you can rename and Apps paste. You start the App, it crashes immediately again. In some cases, your device may crash, but this is harmless. In the preview of the folder the App is also invisible.

With a small security flaw in the iOS System, you can perform over the access to a Website, a bogus Update for the App. This will not start at all, so you can delete the App. This process, however, is continuing only until the next reboot of the device.
- Open the "Safari"App and enter in the address line cydiahacks.com a.
- Scroll down on the Website easily and select the menu item "Hide Apps no Jailbreak".
- Scroll down again and select "Hide Newsstand".
- It the query is done "cydiahacks.com would like to install a Newsstand Hide". Confirm with "Install".
- Safari will close, and the newspaper kiosk App tried now to perform an Update. This fails, however, after a few seconds, and you will receive an error message. Confirm this with "Finish".
- Press and hold your Finger on the Newsstand, shaking until all the Apps start. Now you can remove the App via the cross at the top of the App. Until the next reboot, the App disappeared.

iOS 5: Newsstand move into a folder
Under the first Version of iOS 5, there is a Bug that allows you to Move the Newsstand into another folder.
- To do this, you must pull at the same time any App to another, so that a new folder is formed. Let go of the App, you must tap at the same Moment the App of the newspaper kiosk and in the folder.
- This is, unfortunately, only in the first Version of iOS 5 is possible, and usually require very few iterations.
