So that you can locate your devices, it needs iCloud to be enabled. Read more in the next two paragraphs. In addition, the device must be connected to the Internet. This is not the case, you can determine but at least what to block to happen the next time you connect to the Internet (e.g., device).
- Open your Browser to the iCloud Website or download the App find My iPhone on your iOS device. The further procedure is identical, by way of explanation, we use the Browser.
- Log in with your Apple ID and your password and select in the menu the function "find My iPhone". You will now be redirected to the location. The first search may take a few seconds.
- You will then be shown, where the device is currently. The device should not be connected to the Internet, is a detection not currently possible.
- But if you click on the top of the menu bar, click the name of your device, you will see several options:
- You can now either display a notification message, a sound type, a lock code on the "Lost mode" to set up or the device is completely deleted. An Internet connection is available, the actions are performed immediately. If no connection exists, the execution takes place only at the next contact with the Internet.

Thus, the devices through iCloud, you must turn location on in the iCloud settings:
- Open the "settings"App on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- Scroll to the menu item "iCloud" and tap it.
- Select in the list the Option "find My iPhone".

- Click the top right of the screen to the Apple Logo, and select the "system settings".
- Click on "iCloud" and sign in with your Apple ID and your password.
- Select the Option "My Mac looking" and confirm the location function with a click on "find My Mac".
