YouTube Videos automatically in HD
Until recently, they were able to activate the automatic HD playback, once you have logged in with your YouTube Account. Unfortunately, Google has removed this Feature now. After all, YouTube will start all the Videos automatically in HD (or the best, resolution available), if your Internet connection is fast enough:
- To do this, open any Video on YouTube.
- In the Video window, bottom right, click on the Gear icon to open the settings.
- Select the Option "quality" and then the entry "Automatic". These settings in a Cookie is stored.
- YouTube adjusts the Video quality of your current Internet speed. From about DSL 25,000 to the HD resolution or better.

YouTube should change the above settings automatically in HD mode, you have to push on the high resolution by means of a Browser Addon. Meanwhile, there are for all major browsers a extension:
- Firefox users can set your Browser with the Addon "YouTube High Definition" upgrade. After the Installation, all the Videos start in the best quality available.
- In Chrome install however,"Auto HD for YouTube". After Installation, you can select the preferred video quality - here you can set best 720p or 1080p (see Screenshot).
- The Addon "extend tube" meets the same Job, and also in the Opera Browser.
