WPA or WPA2 what is better?
WPA stands for "Wi-Fi Protected Access", WPA2 is the development of the "protected Wi-Fi access".
- WPA: The old Standard uses RC4 encryption. This method applies according to current Standards, however, as a relatively unsafe and outdated. Professionals could easily penetrate in your network.
- WPA2: The newer Standard uses the encryption Standard AES, which is used, among other things, also from the US authorities for the encryption of documents. AES is currently considered to be one of the most common and secure encryption methods.
