WooCommerce for Wordpress: minimum requirements for the Installation
Thus, the store can be installed on your WordPress site, you must meet the following requirements:
- PHP Version 5.2.4 (PHP 5.6 or higher is recommended)
- MySQL Version 5.0 (MySQL 5.6 or higher is recommended)
- WooCommerce 2.5 requires WordPress 4.1+
- WooCommerce 2.6 requires WordPress 4.4+

WooCommerce automatically install
The fastest method is the automatic Installation via the Backend:
- Log in as Admin in your Backend of WordPress.
- Navigate in the left menu bar to "Plugins".
- Click on "Install" and then type in the search bar "WooCommerce".
- Click the next step Button "install Now".
- The Installation can take time depending on the web server for a Moment.
- Then, you see next to the entry for "WooCommerce" Option to activate the Plugin.
- Once you have clicked on "activation", starts WooCommerce the configuration process. This is self-explanatory and asks for step-by-step the necessary information such as location, currency, and payment methods. After that, your Shop is ready for use.
WooCommerce install manually
An automatic Installation is not possible, you can bring the Shop manually on the web server:
- Download WooCommerce as a zip-File of WordPress.org on your computer.
- Unzip the zip-file, e.g. with 7-Zip or other decompressor.
- Select via FTP on your web server.
- The extracted folder you download in the Plugin directory (/wp-content/plugins/) high.
- Then, you log in to your WordPress Backend.
- Navigate in the left menu to Plugins.
- You activate the WooCommerce Plugin, and then the configuration starts.
