E-Mail - a revolutionary idea
What many do not know: The E-Mail is older the the Internet we use on a daily basis.
- The World Wide Web in its current Form has only existed since 1989. Before there was the so-called "Arpanet" (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), however, the military was reserved for.
- This Arpanet was developed by the US research firm Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN) under contract to the U.S. Department of defense.
- One of the involved, a computer engineer named Ray Tomlinson was. During his work, developed Tomlinson in 1971, E-Mail , rather than a by-product or as a Gimmick. Neither he himself, nor anybody else, the Potential of this invention is realized at the time.
