Search engines in the Browser set up

Search engine set up in Google Chrome

We will show you how to use your favorite search engine in the Browser Google Chrome set up.

Top right, click on the three lines, and then select "settings".
Now go to the Heading "search" and choose the "manage search engines". Compare this to the Screenshot.
Select in the opening window, a suitable search engine, or you can even place a by you scroll to the bottom and into the appropriate fields of the search engine, velvet shortcuts, and URL to enter.

Enter in the address line "about:config" without the quotation marks. Then, you see in the Browser a warning message, as you can see on the Screenshot. Click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"
The Cursor is in the updated window, in the row "Search". Enter "browser.search.default engine name" also without the quotation marks.
Then, double-click on the bold, and only result in the search bar.
At this point, just the name of the desired search engine. Important: enter only the name, not the URL. Then confirm with "OK".

In Internet Explorer, set your search engine as follows:

Click in the top right, click the Gear and then select "manage Add-Ons". Now go to the left margin on "search providers".
Click in the lower pane, click the Link "find More search providers".
In the window that now opens, you can find very different search provider. Select your suitable search engine by clicking on it and then click the yellow box with "Internet Explorer add" button.
You can then set optional, if you want to set this search engine as the default search provider, and whether you want to use search suggestions from the provider. Then click on "Add".
Your search engine is not yet active, follow you, once again, point 1. In the right pane, you should see now other search engines are about your desired search provider. Click it with a right click and remove them. Only if your provider is at the top, is the search.
