In the case of Mac OS X, you can read under the "utilities" in the "keychain access" any passwords. As of Safari 6, you can read stored passwords in Safari directly in the Browser.
- Launch Safari and open the settings by clicking the top left of the screen on the menu item "Safari" and then select "settings".
- At the top, click the tab "passwords".
- Below you will find the Option "passwords" show. You set the hook to get the passwords to view.
- You want to not let all of the passwords at once, so you can copy via a right-click certain passwords.
