Cell phone on the plane: What is allowed with Ryanair?
- Basically, you are allowed to use all electronic devices in the case of Ryanair on Board. This includes Smartphones, Tablets, e-readers, portable DVD players and Laptops.
- During takeoff and landing, you have to put all electronic devices in airplane mode. This interference in the mobile network can be avoided. Are allowed to use your cell phone, however, at any time.
- Only larger devices such as Laptops may only be used from the reached altitude. The Charging of your batteries is also allowed. You will find, however, not all aircraft have a USB port.

Ryanair: Is there Wi-Fi on the plane?
- Ryanair waived in the case of its flights entirely on Wi-Fi. This Service is not currently planned. Nevertheless, there are ways to communicate via the clouds with the outside world.
- A Roaming provider, you can receive SMS and MMS and send. Even a basic Internet connection is sufficient for the reception of E-Mails.
- The cost varies depending on the mobile service provider. At the end of the Start-up the flight mode, you will receive within few minutes an SMS with the respective costs.
