R. S. V. P.: significance of the four letters
The abbreviation R. S. V. P. comes from the French and is often used on formal invitations and in the profession. The German equivalent is, inter alia, w. g.
- The international common short form of R. S. V. P. for répondez s'il vous plaît. The German abbreviation u. A. w. g. is the Same, namely: to answer will be asked.
- The sender uses one of these abbreviations, are, as a rule, the invitation to a formal occasion, most in the larger context, such as weddings or special anniversaries.
- In the case of large companies, which require an appropriate preparation that makes a response a lot of sense and should accordingly be given.
