Not every route planner allows you to calculate walking distances; some services only record the regular road network. Footpaths are also relevant, particularly in inner cities.

Microsofts route planner is also extremely clear and has a stylish design:

  1. First, open the Bing Maps website.
  2. Click on the “Route planner” option in the top center.
  3. Click on the symbol with the pedestrian there.
  4. Enter a starting point and a destination. Click "Add Target" to insert an intermediate point.
  5. Then click on the blue “Go” button and various routes will be displayed.
