In IE with google.ch instead .de search

In Internet Explorer (IE) you can select the default search engine "Bing" quite easily to another provider - for example, google.de or google.ch - change.

  • Click at the top right of the Internet Explorer, click the Gear and then click "manage Add-Ons".
  • In this window, then go to the left into the list on 'search providers' and click on the "find More search providers...".

  • Now the "Internet Explorer gallery" opens as a Website. There are over 100 search engines you can add to the Internet Explorer to be found. The entry for "google.ch" appears on the second page quite far down.
  • Click on the Icon of "google.ch" and on the next page, on "about Internet Explorer"add.
  • In the next window, you set the hook "As the default search provider set", so you can really search with your new search engine in the combined Search/address bar of the IE.
The hook does not necessarily have to search with Bing.
