- Whether it's Europe, municipal, state or Federal election, the ballot box is in Germany on a regular basis. You can choose either on-site at the polling station or in advance by absentee ballot.
- Online you can choose not to date. This, however, is not the lack of technical progress, but to security problems. A digital election over the Internet offers a large attack surface for hackers.
- In the best case, the attacker could place the Online choice merely lame. Millions of votes would be on the day of the election is not made. In the worst case, the Online could choice to manipulate that vote to be changed or deleted.

- Some municipalities also offer that you can request the documents for the absentee ballot online. This is, however, vary from municipality to municipality - so make sure you check in advance and make use of otherwise the entry on your ballot, in order to apply for the documents.
- Your choice of ticket for the Bayern-election in 2018, you can apply for up to two days before the election. However, it must be with the postal vote, the ballot papers until 18.00 on the day of the election delivered.
