Apps, Quiz games and post-cards-applications on Facebook are very popular. For users, the risk that data will be passed on to third-party providers increases, however. So you protect yourself from it:
  1. Login to Facebook and go to the top right of the privacy settings on the lock icon.
  2. Click on "More settings".
  3. Select in the left menu "Apps".
  4. Here you can see which Apps you use and to whom your data will be displayed. Click on "edit" behind an App and set the visibility settings to "Only me".
  5. You can remove with Facebook-connected Apps at the bottom of the window again. Alternatively, a click on the cross on the line at the end of the respective App in the Overview.
  6. Check the settings under the menu item "Apps others use". Here you remove the check mark from the check boxes with the information that you want to share and finally click on "Save Changes".
  7. You need to consider, especially in the use of Apps on the Smartphone exactly where you are with your Facebook account to register and where not to.
