To many of your questions about Elster and the tax Declaration refer to the FAQ Portal with appropriate answers. To access this, open the Elster site in your Browser and click at the end of the website, click "help, FAQ" (see photo). If your question is not in the FAQ, you can reach the customer service in different Ways. On tax-related questions, you receive no answer, for this purpose, the tax office is responsible.
- Hotline: As a private user, the magpie Team on 0800 52 35 055 help you. The call center is available Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 22:00, and on Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10:00 to 18:00.
- E-Mail: Alternatively, you can describe your Problem in an email and send it to "hotline@elster.de".
- Form: would you like To E-Mail from your private Mail account to send, you can also use the free contact form from Elster to use. To do this, click on the Elster web site on your state and on the right, select the Option "contact form".

Employer, the use of magpie, can, in principle, contact Support via the above mentioned ways. However, there are two exceptions:
- For questions about the processing status of the data transmission to the electronic wage tax card (ELStAM) is a separate form available.
- Next to it is the case that, after Transmission of the electronic wage tax certificate after five days, no Protocol can retrieve a further form available.
