Personalized URL - what is the benefit to me?
With a Custom URL, you can quickly access your profile. Instead of a long web address with a random sequence of numbers you or your friends only have to remember their shortened URL - in the best case, your name on Google+. So for example, "http://plus.google.com/b/+Joesabia".
Your own Google+ URL - prerequisites
Differently than Facebook has to meet your profile of Google Plus, some of the requirements, if you want to use the personal URL.
- Before you can even request a URL with your name, you have to have 10 Followers and a profile picture have entered. In addition, your Account must be older than 30 days.
- If you meet these requirements, will appear on your profile automatically, a note with a URL-suggestion (see Screenshot).
- In order to secure the Custom URL, simply click on "get URL". You may need to make small Changes to the address, to associate you with your profile clearly. For some users, it may also happen that you will need to confirm your URL via SMS.

Important: Google reserves the right in its terms and conditions of use prior to, in the future a fee for the Custom URL to the request. However, you would of course be informed of this in advance.
