The International Bank Account Number, IBAN for short, is a standardized Code that defines each account clearly. This number will be needed in the case of all Transfers, which are based on the SEPA procedure (Single Euro Payments Area). The SEPA procedure has been introduced as a uniform referral form rather than the previous Euro Transfer. Further information can be obtained here or from your client Advisor of your Bank.
  • The structure of the IBAN is pretty easy. The front of the country code (DE) is then a two-digit check digit, followed by Bank code (8 digits) and account number (10 digits). (see picture)
