RAM Disk-create: What is it anyway?
- SSD hard drives are still a little more expensive than traditional HDD hard drives, but also much faster. Top models create read and Write speeds of over 500 MB/s.

- You download the Software, install and launch it.
- Top left, click on the Plus icon and choose the size, the drive letter and the file system "NTFS".
- On the "OK" Button is created in the RAM Disk. In Explorer they will appear shortly after, already as a usable hard drive.
- With a Tool like crystal disk mark Portable you can now even the speed of the RAM Disk with your hard disk to compare.

RAM Disk with permanent content to create
The content on a simple RAM Disk is deleted on every startup of Windows. To use, for example, a program permanently on the RAM Disk, you need an Image of the RAM Disk:
- Click at the top of SoftPerfect RAM Disk to the point of "Image" and select the Option "create Image".
- Here, you can now create an Image of the current RAM Disk. To do this, you need to install the desired program, of course, on the RAM Disk.
- Select the RAM Disk in the Software with a double click, you can select the top under "Image file name" of the newly created Image.
- To update the Image after each use of the installed program, enable the Option "the content in the Image store".
- You close the window with "OK". Restart your Computer, is saved to the Image, so the contents of the RAM Disk to your hard disk. After the re-Start of Windows the Image is transferred back automatically to the RAM Disk.
