Preparation: MacBook-battery swap
- Turn off the MacBook before replacing completely. The usual state of rest is not sufficient.
- Get a small cross, and a Torx screwdriver. The use of a cordless Screwdriver, you should for safety's sake, refrain.
MacBook: battery swap - so go ahead
- Turn off the MacBook, to fold it, and place it with the back of the display on a solid surface.
- Now you can remove the cross-head screwdriver all the screws visible at the bottom and to the side.
- All of the screws are unscrewed, you can remove the bottom. This can best be achieved at the connection between the Display and the floor.
- Now remove with the Torx screwdriver, all the screws that fasten the battery. This is the long black part.
- Now, caution: Lift the battery slightly and carefully remove the connection cable between the battery and the MacBook.
- In the last step, you can attach the battery back and the cover on the MacBook screws.
