Laptop cannot find wireless network - it can be found in

Your Laptop cannot find the Wi-Fi network can have several reasons. We will show you how to solve the Problem.

  • Online: first Check whether the Wi-Fi of your router is turned on really. On most routers, you will find a small light with the signature "Wi-Fi". This lamp should also be lit.
  • Device: To exclude the possibility that the Router is broken, take another device to Hand. Check whether the connection on a different Laptop, or your Smartphone.
  • Router: A look in the Router can't hurt in this case. Enter the above in the address line of your browser the IP address from the Router. With a Fritzbox this is, for example, "192.168.178.1". The correct address can be found on the back of the router.
  • Blocking: In each Router, you can also set that new devices will not be allowed. The MAC address we are then blocked from the Router. Either leave the MAC address in the Router, or set the Filter off.

Wi-Fi enable and driver update

  1. Click with the right mouse button on the bottom right in the taskbar Wi-Fi icon and select the Option "network and sharing center open".
  2. On the left side you will now find the Option "adapter settings". Are you looking for the right Wi-Fi Adapter. This is usually called "WiFi" or "Wi-Fi".
  3. Click with the right mouse button on the wireless Adapter. The Option "Enable here" is available, select it. Alternatively, continue with the "properties" Option.
  4. Click on the Button "Configure" and switch to "driver" tab. Via the Button "driver" to be downloaded to update the latest Updates for the Adapter and installed it.
