CPU Pin canceled / bent – you have to note
Important: When Working on the PC-Internal, you must always pull the power plug to get an electric shock and to protect your Hardware from damage!
- First, you should examine the motherboard for additional errors. If cables are broken or several of the Pins are broken off, not worth a repair.
- You should then take the unit carefully under the magnifying glass, at the best, it is suitable, if you remove the CPU unit, you must press the lever on the side and then slowly and carefully pull it out. Consider this then, under a magnifying glass with a lot of light.
- We recommend you to repair a Lead of about 0.4 mm in diameter.
- However, if you remove before the Mine of the pen, so that you can address with it then the bent Pins straight again.
- Then put the pen on a bent Pin and bend it gently with a straight back.
- Make sure that you initiate no other Pins, and bend, or even cancel.
- Once all the Pins are straight again, you can put the unit back into the motherboard.
- Switch on the PC as usual. If no Beep is heard, in addition to the "normal" Beep (boot process), you have done everything right.
