Connect to an Amazon Echo, with the Bose sound touch
The required Skill that combines Echo and sound touch is currently only available in English. To set the language on your Amazon Echo, solves the Problem.
- Open the website of alexa.amazon.com and log in to your Amazon Account.
- In the category of "language" you can select "English".
- You open the connection the Alexa App and switch to the main menu, the category "Skills".
- Enter "Bose" and you install the appropriate Skill.
- Log in here again in your Bose Account and complete the setup.
- Make sure that all the Bose speakers have a meaningful name like "Bose living room" or "dining room".
- Now you can play via voice command the music on the Bose sound touch. The voice command always starts with "Alexa, ask Bose to...".
- In this command, you can attach a variety of prompts such as "play Preset 1 in all rooms" or "turn of the dining room".
Bose sound touch use with the Echo
Bose sound touch: connect to an Amazon Echo Dot via Bluetooth
Alternatively, you can make your Bose sound touch as an external speaker for the Amazon Echo to use. For this you need to connect the two devices only via AUX-cable. The small Amazon Echo Dot you can also connect via Bluetooth with the Bose sound touch:
- First, set up the Bose sound touch and the Amazon Echo Dot separately, so that both devices are functional.
- Now open up the Alexa-App on your Smartphone and select the "settings" of the Amazon Echo.
- Keep you up to Bose sound touch the Bluetooth button for a few seconds and select the App under the "Bluetooth" Option "With a new pairing with a device".
- Select the Bose sound touch from the list, the two units are connected via Bluetooth to each other.
- Your music will now be played through the Bose sound touch. Should abort the connection once, say you connect "Alexa", and press the Bluetooth button on the Bose sound touch.
- Tip: Bose recommends, the Amazon Echo Dot and the Bose sound touch not more than a Meter away from each other to set up.
