Terraria: preparing for the first house
After you have made the first steps in the new world and from the Guide, the basic game mechanics have to explain, it is important to find a shelter for the first night.
- To cut trees you need an axe. This should now be in your inventory, as well as a pickaxe.
- Select a tree and click on the lower end, cases, it and then wood. You open the inventory/crafting menu and create a work bench.
- It is best to create in addition to a Hammer that allows you to remove objects in the Background.

- Now it's time to work: Build with the wood, two walls and a roof, by using the workbench. Walls are for a safe shelter urgently needed.
- Craft wooden bricks with which you have to fill in the Background. After that, only a door, two chairs and a table are missing. So make sure to have enough wood on hand.
- After the Foundation including basic equipment, you can take care of a light source. You kill Slimes that move in the world, with their Gel-torches produce.
- This you can attach to the wall or to the floor. The Guide should now be collected from them and the first night full of enemies, you should survive easily.
- If you expand your house, have a future even more useful NPC space and roosts in them.
