Nintendo Switch: user-ID create

Have you bought a Nintendo Switch, you will need to log in a so-called user ID. We will show you in this tip how you can create your own user-ID.

User-ID for Nintendo Switch: What do you need them?

Previously, you could manage your profile on the Nintendo consoles, the Nintendo Network ID (NNID). For the new Nintendo Switch the so-called user has now been introduced in ID.
With the user ID, all relevant data will be stored online. Only your Account information but also settings and game saves are not part of.
Note: Use a Wii U or a Nintendo 3DS, you need to continue an old NNID. Currently it is not yet clear whether, and when, the user ID will also be introduced to older devices.

The user ID for the Nintendo Switch must consist of at least 6 characters. Only Numbers and letters are allowed. Letters you may write just small.
You have the option to change your user ID as often as you like. A Change is always possible in the settings. The double assignment of a user ID is of course not possible.

Open the following website from Nintendo and log-in to your Account.
You don't have an Account, you can create a NNID or Login via Facebook, Google or Twitter.
Scroll down a bit, you will find there the category of "login ID".
Right click on the "Change" Button and enter your desired user ID.
Under certain circumstances, you previously received an email from Nintendo with a confirmation code on the website to enter.
Via the Button "save settings", the user-ID.
On your Nintendo Switch you can log in now using your email address as the user ID.
