Banished tip 1: The right start select
You decide to create the game a good starting point:
- Select a start point, in the vicinity of a forest and a river. By fishing you can obtain from the start a good and stable source of food.
- You build enough houses for its inhabitants, a Stockpile and a Storage Barn.

Tip 2: food sources in Banished optimally
- You are looking in the vicinity of their village, a forest and remove all the stones and all the iron.
- You put a Forest Lodge located in this area of the forest. Select in this Forest, the only Option is Planning to Lodge however.
- This allows you to put in this area, a Gatherer, one Herbalist, and a Hunting Cabin in the forest areas of more income.
Banished tip 3: Visible resources
- Before you build a Quarry for stone extraction, and a Mine for iron and coal production, you should remove first all of the resources to the surface. To do this, you need a couple of labs, and stone and iron resources in your area.
- Click on the removal button. This is the second from the right. Then select the Option to stone quarrying and select the desired area.
