Make your own ice cream: The 3 best tips and recipes

To refresh yourself on hot summer days, you can easily make your own ice cream. This means you always have enough of your favorite flavor on hand. We present you three simple recipes for the DIY treat.

Make ice cream yourself - a quick water ice cream recipe

You can make delicious water ice cream yourself very quickly and easily.

  • To do this, simply mix water with syrup of your favorite flavor and fill the liquid into suitable ice cream molds .
  • Water ice cream is prepared quickly, but it takes about 10 hours in the freezer until it is completely frozen.
  • Instead of water with syrup, you can also freeze fruit juices. Tip: Sweeten the fruit juice additionally, do not use sugar. Honey or maple syrup are more suitable. Because sugar in undissolved form prevents freezing.
  • By the way, delicious cola ice cream is just as quick. To do this, simply fill Cola into the ice containers.

Recipe for DIY cream ice cream

If you like creamy ice cream, make your own cream ice cream.

  • For four portions of cream ice cream you need 200ml cold cream and 50ml cold milk. Put both in a blender and add two egg yolks and 25g powdered sugar.
  • You are free to choose the flavor. Add frozen fruit or a little syrup to your hearts content.
  • Mix everything into a creamy mass and then put it in a large container.
  • The ice cream must now freeze in the freezer. To make it nice and creamy, stir vigorously every half hour.

Yoghurt ice cream as refreshment

Like cream ice cream, you can also make yoghurt ice cream yourself in different flavors.

  • For the basic recipe you need 500ml natural yogurt, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 100g powdered sugar.
  • First, stir the yogurt with a hand mixer until creamy. Then gradually add the powdered sugar and finally the vanilla sugar.
  • You can also add pureed fruits of your choice.
  • Pour the mixture into a large container and put it in the freezer. To keep the ice cream creamy, they would be stirred vigorously every 20 minutes. The yoghurt ice cream should be ready after three hours at the latest.
