Phone number in the WhatsApp update, and verify
To update the telephone number, proceed as follows:
- You can back up your Chat history under "menu", "settings", "Chat settings", "Backup chat history".
- Uninstall WhatsApp.
- Install WhatsApp and restart it.
- Enter your new phone number. The number is now verified and can then be used. When you first Start, you can also restore previously backed-up Chat history again.
