Galaxy S7: Quad HD consumes battery unnecessarily
The new Smartphones from Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, solve with Quad HD, so with 2.560 × 1.440 pixels. The difference to Full HD with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels is visible to the naked eye, however, was hardly recognizable.
- The higher resolution unnecessarily consumes a lot of battery capacity. With Full HD, the Galaxy S7 would hold out longer.
- Android 7.0, or 7.1, you can set the resolution manually to save battery. By default, the Samsung Full HD sets.
- The lower resolution not only saves battery, but also computing capacity - The Galaxy S7 should therefore run under Android 7 faster than before.
