Simlock unlock for O2 – so it goes
At the conclusion of a mobile phone contract with O2, the corresponding mobile phone is provided with a Simlock. So you can only use O2 SIM cards. After 24 months, this lock expires automatically and you can use any other SIM card with the device.
- Log in to My O2 and go to "My Tariff / SIM card".
- There you will find a detailed guide on how your cell phone can unlock.
- You want to be the barrier before the expiration of 24 months to remove, contact the customer service of O2.
- Enter there your IMEI number of the device, in order for this to be unlocked can.
- This process will cost you around 100 Euro. The automatic Unlock after 24 months is free.
